Most colleges charge by the semester hour and not by the degree. An associates degree requires about 60 semester hours, a bachelor’s requires about 120. Basically, the cost is the same as getting the degree in-the-classroom instead of online.For me, $250 is considered cheap and $400 is about my maximum though I will go to $600 for a couple schools. What you consider affordable though depends on how much money you have available and what sort of financial aid you can get.If you go with a school at $250 per hour (for example) and get a bachelor’s degree; the cost in tuition would be $30,000. On the other hand, if you pay $400 per hour, the bachelor’s degree would be $48,000.
